Rebecca Alderson
Head of Fraud Risk, WPB,

Rebecca joined HSBC Group in January 2020, before being appointed into her current role in August 2022. She has 12 years of experience in fraud and financial crime risk, and before joining HSBC, she worked for Barclays and ClearBank in a variety of 1st and 2nd line roles covering financial crime transformation, card fraud and internal fraud risks.
In her current role, Rebecca and her team provide 2nd line of defence oversight and challenge on all areas of fraud risk management across HSBC’s Retail, Wealth, and Private banking portfolios, supporting the business to design, build and implement strong fraud capabilities and frameworks at local, regional, and global levels.
Rebecca lives in Suffolk with her fiancé Angus and dog Tilly and enjoys getting outside in nature and exploring the local antiques shops. She is also learning French and attempting to brush up on her childhood piano.
