Nicky Goulimis

Co-Founder, Tunic Pay
Nicky Goulimis is a deep fintech thinker & repeat founder. She co-founded Tunic Pay (scam prevention in payments) and Nova Credit (international credit reports in underwriting), and serves on both their boards as well as on the board of Hellas Direct (P&C insurer in Eastern Europe).

At Tunic Pay, Nicky Goulimis is CEO for the only fraud vendor designed specifically for APP. The company is building the industry’s Intelligence Interchange, providing typology-specific fields on the other side of the transaction. Their solution provides data pipes (not just scores) for both in- and out-of-network participants. Tunic Pay recently closed an (unannounced) $6M seed round and is in implementation work with a number of Tier One banks and neobanks.

At Nova Credit, Nicky currently serves as a Board Director and FCA Authorized person. She was previously COO/CFO for the first 6 years of the business, building partnerships with regulated financial institutions including American Express, HSBC, and Chase around the world. Nova Credit has emerged as one of the most promising financial technology companies from Silicon Valley in the last few years, and raised over $130M from investors including General Catalyst, Kleiner Perkins, Index Ventures, Y Combinator and many more.

Nicky’s contributions have been recognised globally and she was named by Inc in September 2019 as one of ‘The 100 Women Building America’s Most Innovative and Ambitious Businesses’ (alongside Rihanna!), was named "Top Woman in Fintech 2020" by LendIt, and has been featured in publications including the New York Times, CNBC, Business Insider, Forbes, and Fast Company. She has been an invited speaker at major industry conferences including Money2020, InnovateFinance, Fraud Leaders Summit, Slush, the Paris Fintech Forum, and Finnovate.

Nicky Goulimis has also advised financial inclusion non-profits The Financial Health Network and Consumer Action, angel invested in 30+ fintechs, as well as being part of the Greek Government’s 15-member innovation Committee ESETEK.

Prior to Nova Credit, Nicky was a consultant at Bain & Company where she partnered with a number of European Retail Banks. Nicky is from Greece originally and grew up in the U.K. She holds a BA from Cambridge (1st Class) and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where she was awarded the Miller Social Change Leadership Award.
