John is head of Strategic Policy at Pay.UK, which operates the UK’s interbank payment systems – Bacs, FPS and ICS. Pay.UK also deliver a variety of services relating to payments, such as the Current Account Switch Service, Confirmation of Payee and Request to Pay. John previously held roles at the CMA, HM Treasury and the PSR. Before entering the splendid world of payments, competition and regulation he managed European equity funds, with a focus on activism and restructuring. He began his career in corporate restructuring at KPMG.
