James leads international expansion at Juspay, the category-leading fintech offering Payments Experience, Orchestration, and Infrastructure Solutions for enterprise e-commerce merchants, global / regional banks, and card schemes. Before that, he was a Managing Director at Citigroup, serving as both EMEA and APAC head of an enterprise-focused payments acceptance business. Before that, he was an equity partner (Strategy and Transactions) in EY where he led the organisation’s fintech and payments capability across APAC. Before that, he helped build an alternative-finance platform leveraging payments transaction data to enable banks and acquirers to profitably offer short-term unsecured loans to underserved small businesses. Before that, a European e-commerce payment gateway combining direct-to-market customer acquisition with white-labelled full-service delivery for partner banks. He returned home to Dublin in 2023 after a decade-plus spent in Asia.
