Chris Owen joined The British Retail Consortium, the go-to trade association for all UK retailers, in April 2024. He is responsible for developing policy work on finance, credit, and payment issues that affect the retail sector. Chris works with BRC members to identify and develop priorities and collaborates with regulators and other stakeholders to deliver change. He has held previous senior-level public policy positions in both the public and private sectors, including five years at Which?, where he worked on a range of policy issues including digital and financial consumer harms. Chris has also worked with TikTok, Ofcom, and the Electoral Commission, amongst others.
