Chief Payments Officer, First Bank of the Lake

Ana Liza Grandner is an internationally recognized leader in the Fintech banking space, with deep experience in the digital payments ecosystem and Banking as a Service. She has built and been heavily involved with some of the most transformational brands in Fintech including: Google Wallet, Simple, Seed, Varo, Bento, Chime, etc. 

Grandner has over 15 years of experience in financial services with major banks and Fintechs. She is the Chief Payments Officer at  First Bank of the Lake, bridging the Fintech space and the Community Bank. Prior to First Bank of the Lake she was VP, Head of Fintech Banking and Head of The Payroll Protection Program at Cross River Bank, a payments technology leader and BaaS provider with cards and lending solutions. Under her leadership, the bank was the top community bank issuing and supporting PPP loans.

Prior to Cross River, Grandner was Director of Private Label Banking at The Bancorp, a leader in the financial services and payments industry. Her leadership in this space has been recognized by several international conferences that have featured her as an invited speaker, including the Most Influential Women in Payments Summit, where she gave the keynote address.

Grandner began her financial services career with client-facing roles at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Citibank, and Vanguard.

Grandner earned a bachelor's degree from Yale University. She later completed the Global Executive MBA from TRIUM, a degree jointly awarded by New York University Stern School of Business, London School of Economics and Political Science, and HEC Paris.
